Actually, much of the book is enjoyable. It's just when she starts proselyting about the Ovates that things turn iffy. Even so, I'm glad I read the book. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

I've heard about Druids before, and I think this book could help shed some more light on them for someone like me. I may look into them more.

I have never known much information about Druids, and it would have been a good chance to read this book. However, I'll know consider skipping it. Thanks for your informative review.

I have has a lot about Druids but unfortunately most of it has been negative. It's no wonder that the book has a description about witches and goddessed. Thanks for the review.

This book is an excellent place to start, but due to the author's bias I mentioned in the review, I urge you to consider further references as well. The author actually lists several promising books for further reading at the end. Druids really are fascinating people. Thanks for dropping in and commenting!

You're welcome, and I hope you enjoy the book! As long as you remember to take her diatribe about witch/Druids with a grain of salt, there's some great information to be gleaned here. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Forest sanctuaries and historic lore that becomes controversially questionable. Now that’s a book that offers plenty of chances for evaluation and critique, and your in-depth review has done just that with aplomb. Thank you so much for sharing these helpful impressions of this title!

I haven't read much about Druids so far, but I wouldn't mind learning more about them. It's too bad this book didn't go into as much detail about the other types of Druids. Based off what I've read in this review, the Ovates do sound the most interesting, but the other sects were also important and deserved more attention. Thank you for the detailed review!

I agree. Although the Ovates are the sect that gets the most 'face time' because of the nature of their talents and education, I do wish the author had spent more time giving attention to the other sects. I think I would have found that interesting as well. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

It seems this book is an imaginary guide to time travel into events and time. I just might read this book soon. Nice work.

That's a lovely way of describing it! In a way, it does help us travel to the time of the Druids, learn about them, and 'witness' what happened in the world that affected them! Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment!

I'm interested in the Druids as far as their healing and herbal knowledge. However, I don't think this is one for me in the other aspects you mention. I did appreciate your review, though.
