I'm glad my review sparked your interest! I hope you enjoy the book. Just remember that there are some parts you will have to take with a grain of salt. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

Actually, much of the book is enjoyable. It's just when she starts proselyting about the Ovates that things turn iffy. Even so, I'm glad I read the book. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

This book is an excellent place to start, but due to the author's bias I mentioned in the review, I urge you to consider further references as well. The author actually lists several promising books for further reading at the end. Druids really are fascinating people. Thanks for dropping in and commenting!booksandmagicshop wrote: ↑24 Apr 2020, 23:36 I've heard about Druids before, and I think this book could help shed some more light on them for someone like me. I may look into them more.

You're welcome, and I hope you enjoy the book! As long as you remember to take her diatribe about witch/Druids with a grain of salt, there's some great information to be gleaned here. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!bookreviewmi1111 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2020, 02:28 I have never heard about history of Druids. I think I do have an interest in this book. Thank you for the review!

I love your reviews, and from you, I count that compliment as high praise. Thank you so much! And thanks for popping in and commenting on the review!AvidBibliophile wrote: ↑28 Apr 2020, 06:50 Forest sanctuaries and historic lore that becomes controversially questionable. Now that’s a book that offers plenty of chances for evaluation and critique, and your in-depth review has done just that with aplomb. Thank you so much for sharing these helpful impressions of this title!

I agree. Although the Ovates are the sect that gets the most 'face time' because of the nature of their talents and education, I do wish the author had spent more time giving attention to the other sects. I think I would have found that interesting as well. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!kaylac03 wrote: ↑20 May 2020, 23:49 I haven't read much about Druids so far, but I wouldn't mind learning more about them. It's too bad this book didn't go into as much detail about the other types of Druids. Based off what I've read in this review, the Ovates do sound the most interesting, but the other sects were also important and deserved more attention. Thank you for the detailed review!

That's a lovely way of describing it! In a way, it does help us travel to the time of the Druids, learn about them, and 'witness' what happened in the world that affected them! Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment!Caffrey_19 wrote: ↑29 May 2020, 14:26 It seems this book is an imaginary guide to time travel into events and time. I just might read this book soon. Nice work.
