I am reminded that Jesus teaches us to "love your neighbor as yourself," meaning that we also must love ourselves well, which includes not allowing others to mistreat us. "Love isn't always the answer", Shelly's actually giving out a sad life living because of the toxic relationship she living with Matthew. In Shelly's childhood her parents divorced and she become a layer while having a bad social living with her boyfriend and family,her boyfriend pretending of caring for her. Only a person who really learning about life us going to read this .. I like it, well done.

I can appreciate a mixed drama law love triangle role this memoir centers around. I enjoyed this read and believe the main concept in this book is to remember that love is never always perfect. We are to do our imperfect best to love ourselves and others with God's help as perfectly as we possibly can.

How courageous of Shelley L. Levisay to share her experience being with a narcissistic partner with others in "Love Isn’t Always the Answer". Her voice is especially important, as being a lawyer, people would expect her to be immune to the ways of a narcissist. There is certainly a lot to learn from her story.

It sounds like Shelley was looking for love and attention, despite the career success she achieved. Matthew was there to fill the gap and his true nature doesn't emerge immediately. This book sounds like an poignant tale of relationships and emotions. I'm not sure if I'm the right person for this book. But the review kind of intrigued me. The mention of court sessions made me curious to know what led to that. I'm sure it will be a good read.

Memoirs are not my cup of tea but the review is well written. The book seems extremely emotional telling us the author's pain from the abuse from her narcissistic partner and her subsequent healing. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. Shelly's story is a sad one. Although she was an educated young lady, she was vulnerable and lonely, falling into a bad relationship with a client. The book needs some editing. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.
