Thank you for your thoughtful review of "Love Isn't Always the Answer." This is such an important topic - domestic violence is far too prevalent, and it is important that folks know how to identify it. I am reminded that Jesus teaches us to "love your neighbor as yourself," meaning that we also must love ourselves well, which includes not allowing others to mistreat us. I hope that this book helps many people find healthy and loving situations for themselves, just as they deserve.

I can appreciate a mixed drama law love triangle role this memoir centers around. I enjoyed this read and believe the main concept in this book is to remember that love is never always perfect. We are to do our imperfect best to love ourselves and others with God's help as perfectly as we possibly can.

Shelley's life may have been influenced slightly by her parents (just a guess: not sure). I am looking forward to reading this memoir.

A heart touching story of the author's toxic relationship with her husband can be found in the memoir "Love Isn’t Always the Answer" by Shelley L. Levisay. The story is about a cycle of emotional, psychological, and physical abuse.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Many women, and even men, get into a relationship with someone and never know the person's true colors until sometimes years later. Shelley is very brave to share her story and help others not suffer in toxic relationships. Thanks for the review!

How courageous of Shelley L. Levisay to share her experience being with a narcissistic partner with others in "Love Isn’t Always the Answer". Her voice is especially important, as being a lawyer, people would expect her to be immune to the ways of a narcissist. There is certainly a lot to learn from her story.

It sounds like Shelley was looking for love and attention, despite the career success she achieved. Matthew was there to fill the gap and his true nature doesn't emerge immediately. Being stuck in a relationship marked by emotional, psychological and physical abuse can not be easy. Thank you for your informative review.

This book sounds like an poignant tale of relationships and emotions. I'm not sure if I'm the right person for this book. But the review kind of intrigued me. The mention of court sessions made me curious to know what led to that. I'm sure it will be a good read.

Thank you for such a thorough and heartfelt review of Love Isn’t Always the Answer by Shelley L. Levisay. It sounds like this memoir does an incredible job of shedding light on the complexities of toxic relationships, especially the emotional and psychological toll they can take. I appreciate your mention of Shelley’s accessible explanation of gaslighting and her exploration of mental health issues like narcissism and codependency. These are such critical topics that often go unspoken, and it’s commendable that Shelley approached them with honesty and educational intent.

I can see how the repetition in court scenes and abrupt sentence endings might detract from the narrative flow, but it’s encouraging that the book still resonated with you due to its rich information and emotional depth. Your note about the importance of this book for young people is particularly poignant—it’s vital for individuals to recognize red flags and prioritize self-love and healthy boundaries in relationships.

Thank you for highlighting both the book’s strengths and its areas for improvement. I’m now intrigued to explore Shelley’s journey for myself and see how she blends drama, law, and mental health education into her story.

Memoirs are not my cup of tea but the review is well written. The book seems extremely emotional telling us the author's pain from the abuse from her narcissistic partner and her subsequent healing. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. Shelly's story is a sad one. Although she was an educated young lady, she was vulnerable and lonely, falling into a bad relationship with a client. The book needs some editing. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.
