The best concrete review for the well deserving book!!! Thank you! Your review gave me a clear picture of the book and made me happy on how the author is determined to keep up the promise made to her father. Having lost my dear ones for this dreadful disease, I wanted to read this piece but scary enough to dive in their memories. May be will wait for a stronger time to read!

**Book Review: "Winning the War on Cancer" by Sylvie Beljanski**

**Rating: 4 out of 4 stars**

"Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure" by Sylvie Beljanski is an enlightening and inspirational read for those affected by cancer and chronic illnesses. Beljanski presents a compelling case for integrative medicine, blending traditional and alternative treatments to combat disease. The book stands out for its balanced approach, acknowledging the benefits of conventional treatments while advocating for the inclusion of natural remedies.

Beljanski meticulously supports her claims with scientific research, expert articles, and detailed cancer treatment protocols. Her work is a heartfelt tribute to her father, Mirko Beljanski, a pioneering biologist-biochemist whose innovative research at the Pasteur Institute in Paris challenged the traditional understanding of cancer. Sylvie continues his legacy, detailing her journey to prove his findings and make his natural treatments available to the public.

The book is well-structured, with ten chapters that mix scientific non-fiction with personal anecdotes, creating a narrative that is both informative and engaging. One of the most compelling parts of the story is Mirko Beljanski’s discovery of two plants, Pao pereira and Rauwolfia vomitoria, which possess cancer-fighting properties. His work demonstrated that natural molecules from these plants could selectively target cancer cells without harming healthy ones.

Despite facing significant opposition from the conventional medical community, Beljanski’s treatments helped notable figures, including French President François Mitterand. Sylvie’s dedication to her father's mission, her efforts to clear his name, and her establishment of the Beljanski Foundation showcase her resilience and determination.

"Winning the War on Cancer" is highly recommended for cancer patients and anyone interested in integrative medicine. Its optimistic message, thorough scientific backing, and the author's passionate narrative make it a powerful and persuasive read.

Your review is very insightful, Cristina! I sampled this book, and I cannot agree more with your thoughts. Sylvie's commitment to her father's research on alternative, natural, and integrative anti-cancer treatments is praiseworthy. It is sad that her efforts to continue Mirco Beljanski's work have to complement Sylvie's efforts to clear her father's name. All in all, like you, I would rate this book all stars.

This is one of the best books I have ever read in the non-fiction category. Sylvie Beljanski's account of her father, Mirko Beljanski's research, is credible and inspiring. Mirko had identified two natural substances capable of arresting the development of cancer cells that could be used simultaneously with or without conventional cancer treatments. President Francois Mitterrand learned of these substances and summoned a doctor, who was using Mirko's substsances to treat his prostate cancer patients, to treat him for advanced prostate cancer. This treatment enabled Mitterrand to complete his term as the President of France to the dismay of politicians and pharmaceutical lobbyists. The story of these natural substances was spreading. Then all hell broke loose following Mitterrand's successful completion of his term and then death 9 months later.

I like the idea of this book to help people battle cancer. The approach is admirable as various treatment techniques are highlighted, not unjustly dismissing any claims. Congrats on botd!!

Cancer being a disease feared by many and in some cases chemotherapy doesn't work I believe it will be nice to have an alternate option and that's why I like Sylvie's and Mirko researching for alternative ways that will help in managing certain diseases in a healthy way.
