It has a free sample on Amazon kindle and was an inciteful OnlineBookclub review. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars, and Congrats @CharlesSacchett on the BOTD.

Older generations would recount something memorable and all of the children would sit and listen. It sounds like a memory book and I tend to like this type as they are fun to read and very believable.

YoshaP wrote: 08 Jan 2020, 08:02 Looks like you really enjoyed the book. It is understandable when a book is about simpler times and the author is successful in drawing you into his journey. I would like to have known how much baseball features in the essays, as I am not a sports fan. I am not sure I will pick this book up because I wouldn't enjoy it if it has too many sports references.

I read the first part of the book so far, and was hooked by the author's story of being 8 on his baseball team. I like that this is a collection of stories, because it's easier to come back to after reading. Since you said the stories were all heartwarming, I just might give this book a try. Thanks for the great review!
