My perception of alchemy has always been linked to magic and healing, particularly in potion-making. However, Paul Kiritsis's 'The Riddle of Alchemy' goes beyond these associations, exploring the deeper origins of alchemy and its connection to modern science. Those who are interested in the subject will undoubtedly find the book absorbing. I appreciate your insightful review. Congratulations to the author on achieving BOTD status.

“The Riddle of Alchemy” by Paul Kiritsis explores alchemy by covering its philosophical, psychological and historical dimensions. The book includes Sol and Luna’s symbolic principles and connecting the parallels with Jung’s individuation theory. Alchemy was developed in ancient civilizations and it blends techniques with mysticism. Kiritsis also covers the links to modern science. The objective of the book was to provide a very valuable source for scholars and enthusiasts. The book covers so much information that it will be great for readers that are really interested in alchemy and the official reviewer provided a very thorough review. When I think of alchemy, I picture wizards from the Middle Ages so this book is very educational for readers that want to learn about alchemy and how it developed over time. I would like to know more about alchemy’s relationship with Christian theosophy.

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. Interestingly, the author chose to delve into the history of alchemy in this time of modern science. This book would appeal to the history buffs. Congrats to the author for the #BOTD.

I don't know if the repeated description was overlooked or if it was intended as the reviewer's way of emphasizing the paradoxical way alchemy was discussed in this book.

Either way, the reviewer was evidently impressed with how this book dived deep into the interesting nature of alchemy and as fan of Carl Jung, with the first book that I love being about an alchemist, my interest are peaked and I'll definitely go give this book a try.

This sounds like a fascinating book that dives deep into the history, philosophy, and psychology of alchemy. I’m intrigued by how it connects ancient practices with Jung's individuation theory and modern science. A must-read for curious minds! Congrats on BOTD!

The book is an exploration of alchemy and covers its historical, philosophical, and psychological dimensions. The review and the sample have given me enough insight into the book to let me know that I will not be interested in reading the book. I am at the point in my life that I read to be entertained or to make me laugh and be happy. Thanks though!

It explores alchemy's Hellenistic roots, its integration with Hermeticism, Paracelsus' contributions, and its relationship with Christian theosophy. The psychological interpretation of alchemical symbols by Carl Jung was explained, as were alchemical illustrations depicting psychological development and major life transitions. The book examines allegorical themes, advocates open-minded exploration, and integrates diverse perspectives, including alchemy's connection to modern science. The book provides a nuanced exploration of alchemy, its historical development, its connection to modern science, and the ethical considerations surrounding ambitious technological advancements.
- That's amazing but also a lot to process. Thank you for the well researched review. And Happy New Year.

It mixes how alchemy has something to say about modern science and technological advances. Basically, alchemy is not only like ancient magic but a way of thinking that still has relevance.

The book delves into the philosophical theme of alchemy digging into ancient civilizations, and mysteries to connect the duct and share practical techniques used. I like that the review is straight to the point and captures the author's work. I am not a fan of this sort of writing and the book cover does not do justice to what the book is about. Thanks for the review and congratulations to the author for being selected BOTD.
