My perception of alchemy has always been linked to magic and healing, particularly in potion-making. However, Paul Kiritsis's 'The Riddle of Alchemy' goes beyond these associations, exploring the deeper origins of alchemy and its connection to modern science. “The Riddle of Alchemy” by Paul Kiritsis explores alchemy by covering its philosophical, psychological and historical dimensions. The book includes Sol and Luna’s symbolic principles and connecting the parallels with Jung’s individuation theory. Alchemy was developed in ancient civilizations and it blends techniques with mysticism. Kiritsis also covers the links to modern science. The objective of the book was to provide a very valuable source for scholars and enthusiasts. The book covers so much information that it will be great for readers that are really interested in alchemy and the official reviewer provided a very thorough review. When I think of alchemy, I picture wizards from the Middle Ages so this book is very educational for readers that want to learn about alchemy and how it developed over time. I would like to know more about alchemy’s relationship with Christian theosophy.

I don't know if the repeated description was overlooked or if it was intended as the reviewer's way of emphasizing the paradoxical way alchemy was discussed in this book.

Either way, the reviewer was evidently impressed with how this book dived deep into the interesting nature of alchemy and as fan of Carl Jung, with the first book that I love being about an alchemist, my interest are peaked and I'll definitely go give this book a try.
