Michael C. Higgins' book, Exploring wine regions - Bordeaux France , is the perfect book for people interested in how winemaking is such an artistic endeavor. This isn’t enough, there’s more to this book that keeps the reader into it, the history of Bordeaux, the interesting division of the Left Bank and the Right Bank, the cuisine, the rich culture, and much more. The author dives deep into its origin and profoundly discusses the variety of facts and figures related.

One of the most attractive aspects of this catalog is the inclusion of fascinating pictures and discussion about the history of different regions in Bordeaux and their innovative winemaking techniques. In addition to the details of the location, the book has all the information regarding the traveling route and specialties of the area, just like a travel guide. I especially enjoyed the author's unfiltered reviews of the places' attractions for its readers' clarity. Throughout the book, the author delves deeply into the history of Bordeaux wine origins and emphasizes numerous facts and figures. The author elaborates on the families indulged in the business of winemaking for generations and how they're the pride of Bordeaux. Detailed geographic descriptions and maps and topography sheets enable the reader to gain a deeper understanding of the region.

French words may have pronunciation difficulties, for which a translation tool is recommended. Learning new words and pronunciations of a new language is always an exciting journey for a linguistic enthusiast.

I’d rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars owing to flawless editing and perfect finishing of details and elaboration of Bordeaux, a region I never visited, but, now, long to visit and I think the readers would relate to this too.

This book contains art appreciation about winemaking, which requires an apprehensive eye, so it should appeal to mature minds like those in the 15 to 25 age group.
