I believe this present generation has a lesser tolerance for war inasmuch as it seems inevitable. Probably because of the past stories and havocs caused by war. More ways of settling disputes amicably have been adopted.

Honestly, I don't know. One could argue that previous generations went to war regularly, and for the slightest insults. This would be during ancient civilizations. Compared to the present, we have come a long way in terms of the frequency at which we go to war. But another person may argue that we might have reduced in frequency, but that is only because the scale of destruction increased. Therefore, it's a false progress when countries hold nuclear weapons that could reek havoc on innocent lives and affect their own country's economy. So I'm not quite sure if we'll ever outgrow it, especially since the usual human faults that serve as a catalyst for these things are still very much present.

I agree that our generation does not support this war but its also very difficult to end it. It will require alot of effort and agreements so as to end the war. The media and other people with power have tried to voice their concerns but nothing seems to be changing.

Students and people nowadays are more practical, and for most of us, living a regular life is like fighting a war, and starting a war for any reason or grudge is just not an appreciated thought. I don't believe the war will be entirely ended in the near future. The war practices has been going on since our ancestors' time, and the changes in generations have only led to a technological revolution, which has caused the war to alter according to the generations.

Not at all. It is the natural instinct of any living thing to struggle for survival, resources, power, and dominance. This is true even for human being. So no, we can't escape it.

This book has pointed out that some people are just selfish without reason. They enjoy the thrill that power gives them. We have people like this in places of authority in the real world so I believe War is inevitable. It can not be fully eradicated, but we can try to make it less. This generation is indeed intolerant of war. More youths are waking up and standing up for their rights regardless of the dangers this act may pose in their lives. Some are even willing to die fighting for the right course than sitting and doing nothing. It's admirable.

I feel like at some point it may have decreased since more people are learning therefore diplomacy is a thing. Talking issues out instead of brawling. At the end of the day, it starts with an individual's concept of whether or not it's worth bloodshed. People crave power but this days it's not earned from waging war physically but intellectually.

I feel as though new generations are more opposed to war. However, that is not enough to end war or truly stop it.

I'm of the opinion that war cannot completely be eliminated but I have to agree that our tolerance for war has decreased and that's probably owing to the gory stories of war from the past.

Tolerance for war is almost non-existent when it comes to the youth today. Those who understand what is going on in the world are against the concept of war. That being said chances of eradicating war in the future are close to nil. Materialism is still rampant and that is the main cause of conflict.

I think it depends on the culture you're considering. Overall, in my country, I would say yes. I noticed that the tolerance is more accentuated towards defence wars, but there is no tolerance towards attack in the younger generations, which I appreciate.

Our tolerance for war is not decreasing with each generation. Although there were many opportunities we have that they don't have in the older generation such as the right to protest, and the right to choose to join wars or not. But our generation has developed much harmful technology that improves war and doesn't show any sign of reducing soon.

I don’t think elimination of war is completely possible, at least not in the current times. But I do believe that the tolerance for violence has significantly decreased. The youth today would prefer peace over war which is why we also see more silent protests nowadays.

While it's impossible to do away with wars, I do agree that tolerance for it is decreasing. The newer generations, starting from Steve's time period are less accepting of war, as was stated in the book. And this is evident from what we see on the news and social media currently.
