New to Review and need some help please.

Hi everyone,
I have only just signed up to start doing book reviews and before I select my first review I would kindly ask for some advice.
I have the free Kindle app, and as per the topics I have found I do believe that it said that you do not require the Kindle subscription to be able to download and read books for review. I have found a book that I'm quite excited about reviewing but on the download page it says the following under select format: Kindle Unlimited (Required Kindle Unlimited Subscription; free trial available)
Does this mean I will not be able to download/access this book if I do not have the Unlimited Subscription?

I believe that your free Kindle app does not include Kindle Unlimited. It sounds like this book is ony available through Kindle Unlimited. You can look up the book on Amazon and see what options there are. The free trial will allow you to read the book, and then you can cancel the subscrition after one month. Good Luck!

You're right to double-check this. If the book you're looking at says Kindle Unlimited (Required Kindle Unlimited Subscription; free trial available) under the format, that does mean you'll need an active Kindle Unlimited subscription to access it. Unfortunately, without that subscription (even with the free Kindle app), you won't be able to download or read that particular book unless it's also available for individual purchase.
If you're starting, consider taking advantage of the free Kindle Unlimited trial if you're interested in that book and possibly reviewing more from the KU catalog. Otherwise, look for books that say "Buy now" with a price listed (even if it's $0.00); those can usually be downloaded without a subscription.
