I must be really stupid?

Use this forum to discuss the Amazon's Kindle. This is the forum for you if you are deciding whether or not to buy a Kindle, deciding which Kindle to buy, or you already have a Kindle and need help doing something on it, need support or otherwise just want to talk about Kindles.

I must be really stupid?

Post by Renee24 »

I need some help please? I have Kindle for Window's 8.1. I downloaded the book to review and it saved as a pdf file in my documents. So, how do I transfer it to the Kindle? And why doesn't it save to the Kindle to begin with?
Now, I remember why I like real books better. lol
Thanks!

Have you tried connecting your Kindle to your computer and then transferring it manually that way? :)

I'm not really sure myself. I usually end up reading pdfs on Adobe acrobat not Kindle.

Do you have a kindle or kindle application? If you have a kindle, the book doesn't automatically move to the kindle. Either way, you need to convert the file first before moving it to your device. I use the Calibre program (it is free) to convert books and move them to my kindle. Good luck!

Thanks, no the Kindle is a windows app, not a separate pc or whatever you call it.
But I figured it out, thanks for the inputs.
I should count to ten before posting. lol

Thanks Gali, I'll check out that program.
