What an engaging plot this book has. The twists and suspense in it made me fall in love story more. Calvery and Tully's friendship was amazing to an extent. Congrats on BOTD.

A story revolving around an ex-con and the daughter of an executed man told from two points of view sounds interesting! A journey of self-discovery and a mystery sounds like a great mix. Adding religious undertones of Irish folklore enhances the story. Congratulations to the author on the positive review!

This sounds like a book which has a lot to offer - reading about life in prison, emotions about death row, losing loved ones though illness or divorce and making new connections.

Great review!
The day after the execution, Tully received a box of Calvery’s possessions. He finds some some books, a calendar, a poem and a pet turtle named Sport.
Is it odd that in spite of the fact that this book clearly has some STUFF going on (and plenty of it), I’m excited at the mention of the turtle? Of ALL things? LOL! Turtles are one of my all-time favorite animals and I used to have some as pets myself, so I guess it can’t be helped.

The unique friendship between Finn and Calvery, as well as Finn's last wish and his connection with Chloe, are central to the plot. The concept of "thin places" adds an interesting and unique element to the story. I'm curious to see how things unfold for Tully and Chloe as their story progresses. The pacing of the narrative is excellent, and the sample I read was truly engaging. You have provided a comprehensive summary. Thanks!

Sometimes we all read the same book and get different experiences from it. Achieving this requires a certain level of writing skill, which the author has showcased in this book. Tully’s situation appears complicated, and I’m eager to see how the character navigates it and what led to the divorce. I am also curious about what happened between Tully and Chloe this seems like an interesting read and I am all for it. Thank you for the detailed review. Congratulations to the author on being selected as BOTD.

Your review was in great detail, regarding the plot. I found it to be thick, filled with many mystery. It also seems to have a lot of moving parts that would be enjoyed by readers who don't like predictable stories. Thank you for sharing.

Your review beautifully captures the essence of Thin Places by highlighting its blend of self-discovery, mystery, and rich emotional depth. I appreciate how you emphasized the complex characters, particularly Tully and Chloe, and their personal struggles, making the story feel both relatable and intriguing. Your honest critique of the climax being less detailed shows a balanced perspective, adding credibility to your overall positive review. Rating it 4 out of 4, especially for its themes of personal growth and redemption, reflects how engaging and thought-provoking the book was for you. Great job :tiphat:
