The Five series was one of my favorites as well. 8)

As a kid I just read whatever I could get my hands on.
But nowadays The first author is Wanda Brunsetter. She has so many books I am still working on them. I love the Amish books along with christian fiction.

When I was in 5th grade I found a few Agatha Christie books in my grandmother's attic. I quickly became an addict. Every once in a while I will still go back and reread some of my favorites from her.

Jennifer Roberson. I got hooked on Chronicles of the Cheysuli when I was 10 or 11. The story absolutely enthralled me.

I think Mark Twain was probably the first, or maybe Laura Ingalls Wilder. My mom used to read me the Little House series at bedtime when I was very small.

I have read through some of the posts under this topic. I too had to read everything written by Patricia Cornwell. When I came across her books, the Scarpetta novels, I think she had already written 4 or 5 books. I went back and read all of the previous books and then re-read the one that caused me to be interested. Since then, I have read all of the books she has written since. Even the non-Scarpetta novels. Even the non-fiction books. Non-fiction is not exactly my preference, but I did enjoy reading the facts about Jack the Ripper. Her cookbook writing was even of interest.

Ann M Martin, the Babysitter's Club. Then it was Jean Auel, Clan of the Cave Bear. Now it's Carl Sagan.

Oh also Piers Anthony, I'd read every single book he's written.

Jane Austen. I fell in love with Austen's storylines the first time I saw the BBC Pride and Prejudice. My sister gave me a huge binding of all Jane Austen's novels the following Christmas. It took me a long time because I had to take my time to fully grasp the story, but I read all of them.

The first author whose books I collected would have to be Laura Lee Hope, author of the Bobbsey Twins series. I was probably five or six when I started receiving those books for Christmas, birthdays, and probably other times as well. As first my mom was reading them to me, but soon I started enjoying reading them myself. I never got ALL of the books, but I did have a good start on it!
