We just may need someone there to record the event who isn't blotto!

I loved the non traditional romance of it. If you can get past all the bdsm and sex parts, it's a decent read. I havent read the second or third but I would like to see what happens between the two as a couple. I could do without all the sex though. I do think it brings a more modern take on love though. Guy doesn't want anything serious but the female does. She demands an actual relationship. She gives him the ultimatum of a relationship with romance or nothing. All he wants is sex. He tries it her way and slowly falls in love. It makes a great romance novel. Like I said before though to much sex for me to read the others.

The sexual component really makes for a character almost on its own in my view. I know it isn't for everyone thought.

I thought that the books were likeable. The story wasn't fantastic and the repetitive descriptions of Anna and Christian's sexual encounters became frustrating, I generally skimmed over them after a while. However, if you take out the sex and look at the backstory of the characters I found Christian Grey to be much more interesting and likeable. While he was borderline abusive and was excessively controlling, I did not find him necessarily cruel or evil.

I would not recommend it to many if my friends but there are some who I feel would enjoy it for what it is.

I read these to see what they were all about. I don't think they were horrible. They had some good elements. For me i skimmed the sex. I don't think I would have read more than one if I wasn't a fast reader though. I read all of them in one sitting. It had enough to interest me to read more to find out more. I am not sure if that is because I kind of liked it, or just felt the need to know the whole story.

I read the Fanfiction version and even then I could not finish it because of all the mistakes. I thought that after going through the editing process there would be less error, but I still could not get through the first chapter of the book before I had to put it down.

If I could summarize Fifty Shades of Grey in a few phrases I would choose "past always murders the present", "changing for those you love", and "erotic things most will never do"

It's highly loaded with sex and goes into every single detail. I can see how some people could be offened by it.

Hi! I read all the books in the series and I'm currently reading Grey. I loved the series! Yes there is a lot of sex however, the love story behind these two characters is so incredible. I literally finished the books in 3 days. I couldn't put it down.

I heard about 50 Shades Of Grey from a friend who told me it was a good book and was talked about on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Some of my friends at work were reading it and my sister and other people I talked to knew about it. I read the book and enjoyed it so much that it was so hard to put the book down. It was a love story about a girl who fell in love with a really rich guy. I want to read this book again. I recommend this book for a good book to read this Summer.

I have not read the book but I agree, there was lots of gossip. My coco-workers read the book. She read it on her 15 min break, on her lunch break, and when she got home in the evenings. She told me so much about her readings, I was afraid to read it due to the fact that I'm single, not dating at all. I don't watch porn so I thought it would be like watching porn if I read the book.
