Heartaches 2 is the much awaited sequel to Heartaches. It continues the story of Anna and Rafe... two souls brought together as one under the tortures that they faced in their past. Decisions are made, hearts are broken and mended. Also, one shocking twist is introduced, which surely fastens up the pace of the story.

A few new characters have been introduced in this book. Their presence at first seems irrelevant. But as the story progresses, it is clear that they have quite an interesting part to play. This shows how the author has planned each and every character's role in this part and also in the next part to come (yes there is another book after the sequel!).

Just like the first part, the pace of this book is also according to the liking of the reader. Again, everything happens at a rate that is comfortable for the reader to grasp.

The author has given importance to Pat, Anna's best friend as well. A glimpse of his personal life has been brought to light. It is good since it makes the trouble's of Anna and Rafe's life realistic and thus believable for the reader.

As the first book had come to it's end, it was seen that the role of the protagonists was somewhat reversed. The same has continued in the sequel. Anna is stronger now than she was before. She acts as the pillar of strength for Rafe as he did for her. Replacing eachother's weakness with their strength is what they do best. The characters have become much more mature now than their previous selves.

Inner turmoils that Rafe now faces are similar to what Anna felt. And it shows the understanding between the two.

The cliff-hanger is good. Instead of emotionally charging like the previous book, it makes the reader excited and intrigued. To know how the characters would execute their plans.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. If not for the unexpected twist in the middle and the fun cliff-hanger at the end, I would have given it 3 stars. This is because nothing much about Rafe and Anna was unfurled. But the addition of new characters makes the book more interesting and worth 4 stars.

I recommend this book to everyone. The ones who have read the first part know why I say that. And the ones who haven't, what are you all waiting for? Grab your copy as soon as you can and dig in for some steamy scenes, emotional roller-coaster and loads of fun!

I have read and written the review of Heartaches 2 by I.M Irwing. Anna Walters-Simmons acts as protagonist character in the story who suffered from cruelty, rapist and remorseless behaviors from her closely linked people. She is passing from a very poor condition full of grief but also trying to come back to its normal position with the desire of vengeance. Raphael Russo Brown, often called Rafe is the boyfriend of Anna and remains with in all of the difficulties suffered by her because all the conditions had also been suffered by him. The erroneous and disturbed mental conditions of both members bring them to a unity and match. Thanks for your great review.
