Heartaches 2 by H M Irwing is the second book in the Bad Boy Vibes series. This captivating story is filled with lust, love, betrayal, vengeance and centers around Anna Simmons and Rafe Brown. Anna was in love with Matt Preston whose goal, set by his father, was to bring her in to be raped by the Preston boys. He courted her for six months and succeeded. Rafe on the other hand, being a soldier posted to Syria, had to endure being raped and abused by Eric Dayton his captain.

Forward to present day in Australia Rafe becomes a staff in a military school and Anna his student. The two meet and find solace in each other's arms after going through similar circumstances. However, their past comes back to haunt them and two shocking discoveries are made that leave both of them staggering to their knees. Would their love stand the test of time? Would they survive the obstacles being thrown at them?

H M Irwing has blown me yet again by this beautifully penned down book. She is indeed a prolific writer and you can tell from how the words are strung together that she loves to write. The book keeps you hooked to the very last page and leaves you wanting for more with its incredible twist and turns, luckily for me I have read the third book, ha!

I really enjoyed this book and felt I was a silent character watching everything unfold in the background. What I liked most about the book were the characters in it. The writer took her time to develop them and made them relatable. I loved Pat, Anna's best friend. Theirs was a time when same-sex marriage was abominable and he was gay! He had to tell his parents about his gender preferences because they were about to pair him up with a lady. That didn't go down well in fact that part of the story ended with a brilliant twist. I admire his bravery and his persona.

I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars because I can't think of anything I didn't like about the book. There were errors but I didn't find them distracting, which suggests that the book was professionally edited.

I recommend this wonderful read for romance lovers. It had several sexual scenes so it's not suitable for kids. It's for any adult who likes a boy and girl story and just wants to kick back and relax to enjoy the intelligent banter amongst the characters.

It's good you were able to enjoy the book even after reading it's sequel before. The spoilers would have gotten to me. Great review!

Amazing review Christabel. I'm glad you loved the book, but I'm not one for explicit sexual scenes. Also glad that the author decided to include some heavy character development along with the romance. Thank you for your review.

I have read and written the review of Heartaches 2 by I.M Irwing. Anna Walters-Simmons acts as protagonist character in the story who suffered from cruelty, rapist and remorseless behaviors from her closely linked people. She is passing from a very poor condition full of grief but also trying to come back to its normal position with the desire of vengeance. Raphael Russo Brown, often called Rafe is the boyfriend of Anna and remains with in all of the difficulties suffered by her because all the conditions had also been suffered by him. The erroneous and disturbed mental conditions of both members bring them to a unity and match. Thanks for your great review.
