What do you need to publish a book??

Like where to find a children's book illustrator??

How much does it all cost??

Has anyone actually has thier books published??

I would also like to know what the common range of amounts that a book can be sold to a publishing company for.....I understand it varies, but what are some good usual ranges? Thankx...
