As a teacher and a mom, I’m always an extra big fan of children’s books with a truly great message. And this book sounds like it provides just that! I’m adding this one to my list for sure.

Thank you for your nicely written review of, Treasure of the magical mine moppets by Katherine Smith. As a mom to an elementary age child, I think this will prove to be a great story for us to read together. I like the idea that some lessons will be taught in a fun way. Thank you for your recommendation!

Such a lovely story! I immediately felt that I knew the family and wanted to continue reading. So many life lessons can be learned from this book. This would be a wonderful chapter book for a teacher to read aloud to her class after lunch or for bedtime stories at home. The two generations of disappointing father-son relationships with the son hoping for some attention from his dad is sure to prompt questions and discussion. This book could have more long term impact than daily lessons. I plan to buy the book for my family - and I’m still curious about the inhabitants of the mine and how the friendly little bug in the cornfield might be connected to them. I enjoyed the review which convinced me to buy the book. Congratulations to the author and thanks to the reviewer.

Thanks for the review. This is definitely a very good book for the children to read. Teaching kids the value of family, friends and kindness is very important. I will definitely have my kid read this book and also recommend it to people I know.

Official Review: Treasure of the magical mine moppets

I still enjoy the children fables once in awhile and this book just one that can captivate the little minds. The valuable lessons that we relate to our children in this age makes it a book to recommend.

Wow! Tom Power's objective of ending world hunger might be inspiring to many readers. His quest to grow or cultivate Ubercorn, (a plant that grows like a forest) should be fun to follow. I would like to explore how he achieves his dream of feeding people.

For me, this book is going to be a big help for the children. Their behavior will be put to test which is good.

I agree that this sounds like an good bedtime story. "This book also contains some valuable lessons for children, such as the importance of honesty and treating others well. The significance of personal decision-making is also well demonstrated within " I like that it teaches lessons about family, friendship and kindness. Thank you for my free copy. Congratulations on BOTD.

I'm confused why this book is classified as YA. It looks like it is written for children, not teens. I'm also unsure about a children's book that has adults as the main characters. Children relate better to characters that are their age. Think I will have to pass on this one.
