Children must be guided aright, and they must be loved unconditionally. The book is certainly replete with life-changing lessons.

That's a fantastic idea! Not only to encourage American children to learn more about other cultures but to make children of Chinese parents feel represented and proud of their culture. Amazing! The author was born in China but currently resides in Nevada, where the story is set. She is a bilingual educator. The story has text in both English and Chinese. Consequently, young English-speaking readers may be inspired to learn more about the Chinese language and culture when reading this book.
Thank you for your fantastic review!
