This is an exciting children's book that teaches us that you should do things when you have to and never to under look ones self. Your review was good but I felt that it was shallow.

Thanks for your review. It's rare to see a bilingual children's book. I wonder if Tikky's story also contains some Chinese culture.

The author was born in China but currently resides in Nevada, where the story is set. She is a bilingual educator. The story has text in both English and Chinese. Consequently, young English-speaking readers may be inspired to learn more about the Chinese language and culture when reading this book.
That's a fantastic idea! Not only to encourage American children to learn more about other cultures but to make children of Chinese parents feel represented and proud of their culture. Amazing!
Thank you for your fantastic review!

Well, I don't know what to make of the book. However, great review. Parents have to have a keen lookout for their children as they interact with their friends. Tikky knew his shortcomings but got influenced by peer pressure. I hope all ends well.

A little bit educational, a little bit adventurous, a little bit entertaining - mix all those ingredients together and you will get quite good children's book, which is able to hold their interest long enough to teach them something useful. Thanks for gifting it to all! Congratulations on the BOTD!

An engaging children's book "The Tale of Tikky, the Quail" by Jenny Zhengyu Lin. The story based on 3 animals and being narrated in both Chinese and English makes it more exciting.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The book's concept appealed to me, but the fact that Tikky had departed without his mother's permission irritated me. I don't believe I'd like it if my kids were to be influenced by this. However, I enjoyed your analysis.
