This sounds like the 2nd book is equal to the 1st - a true testament to the author. So often sequels do not live up to the 1st installment. This is not my normal read but your enjoyable review has made me want to consider it!

In my opinion the second was even better than the first. They are both definitely worth reading, and I'm so looking forward to the next one.

I'm not sure I'd want to be a non-Ayrian in Nazi Germany, though. It would be interesting. It's fun to read about at least. Thanks!

Is Gracie someone that Theo meets in Germany? What's the significance of the journal? Are dirigibles good escape vehicles?? I have so many questions! Thanks for an intriguing to review, my curiosity is piqued.

Theo met Gracie in the first book, and, yes, it was in Germany. The journal is something you are going to have to read about yourself. I won't say too much about the dirigible for fear of spoiling anything, but I will say there was an event in history that involved a dirigible. It's really a great book. You should pick it up! Thought I would read some of your other reviews since you are my first friend on here.
This sounds like a great book. Hope I get the privilege of reviewing it too!
I am a Stephen King and George R.R. Martin fan. Do you have any suggestions on reading material a newbie can review?
Thanks for your help!

I honestly don't think we have too many Stephen King-ish books on here. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Raven's Peak. It's somewhat of a horror book by Lincoln Cole. Might want to try that.

I own almost everything Stephen king ever wrote but recently been reading a series called Wild Cards considered an anthology because every character was written by different authors. It's an alien virus circumstances story line.

I would really love to get a hold of this book. The plot is a big selling point for it. As someone learning Deutsch, I think I'll enjoy this book. Thanks for your review.

With all the bleak realities of the war, one shouldn't help but wonder why it still seems that mankind has not yet fully learned the lessons. I do hope pieces like this could amply convince all of us to prefer the amicable options. Thank you for your thorough review.

I completely agree. We seem to keep doing the same things over and over while expecting different results - the definition of insanity. Thanks for your comment!
