This sounds like the 2nd book is equal to the 1st - a true testament to the author. So often sequels do not live up to the 1st installment. This is not my normal read but your enjoyable review has made me want to consider it!

In my opinion the second was even better than the first. They are both definitely worth reading, and I'm so looking forward to the next one.

I'm not sure I'd want to be a non-Ayrian in Nazi Germany, though. It would be interesting. It's fun to read about at least. Thanks!

Theo met Gracie in the first book, and, yes, it was in Germany. The journal is something you are going to have to read about yourself. I won't say too much about the dirigible for fear of spoiling anything, but I will say there was an event in history that involved a dirigible. It's really a great book. You should pick it up! I honestly don't think we have too many Stephen King-ish books on here. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Raven's Peak. It's somewhat of a horror book by Lincoln Cole. Might want to try that.

I own almost everything Stephen king ever wrote but recently been reading a series called Wild Cards considered an anthology because every character was written by different authors. It's an alien virus circumstances story line.

I completely agree. We seem to keep doing the same things over and over while expecting different results - the definition of insanity. Thanks for your comment!
