Distance

It is as amazing as we think,
How distances can shrink,
And bring hearts and lives in unison,
Rooted in trust is our every decision.

Although we now are tangibly away,
For a while, for our best to stay,
At a distance across land and sea,
Yet.. when I close my eyes, you are next to me.

The rains mesmerise,
Like our times together I realise.
The sky seems unending,
Like our love and bonding.
But sometimes the distance is dark,
As my strength begins to disembark.

Yet how through distance and time,
Our thoughts still align.
There exist a few constraints,
But soon this distance will no longer be a restraint!!!
