Reading or Listening Which one Do You Prefer ?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

I prefer reading because I'm more present when I read

I prefer to physically read BUT in my current stage with little kids I love audiobooks as an option. And it’s really nice to have something to listen to while doing boring chores like folding clothes

I definitely prefer to read books as there are so many more advantages to seeing the text with your eyes. Also, it's too easy to get distracted when trying to listen to the audio.

Each one has its place for me. I prefer to listen (not read) to music. I am fine with both reading and listening to poetry. I prefer reading, not listening, to books.

:D I prefer reading over listening. When you read, you use your imagination a lot and you visualize events and experiences based on the writer's description and narrative creating a unique experience. When you listen, you focus your attention on the speaker and try to understand the message and respond thoughtfully.

Reading is my only option. I have ADHD and when I try to listen to books, it causes me to lose complete focus and I end up replaying repeatedly and still not comprehending a bit of it.
