This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

In a 70%, I want to say yes, and there are only the rest of the 30% artists that makes me appreciate the present.

This is what I said the other day. Music of old sounds a lot better. The lyrics are more thought-inducing and the beats are beautiful. I too prefer older music to these new ones.

Old school or new school? This generation will definitely refer back to their time in the next generation...they will feel music now was better than then, they will play the songs they listen to today and say "our old school is better.

YesI can say. I find much of the music that has been released today a little jarring, some of which is offensive, complicated, and nosy. I like the tone, rhythm, pitch and message of every song back then.

I will say that music of those days were better off than today's music . It usually comes with direct inspiration.

Whether the old music is better than the new one is a matter of generational preferences. The current generation is widely seen admiring the artists of 90s and even imitating their themes and beat styles in their songs. I personally think that old music was good and meaningful but at the same time, we can't ignore the modern artists who actually make pretty decent and again, meaningful music. There are good songs and bad songs in every era so we can't divide them by saying that old songs were really great but new ones are really bad!

Yes, definitely the music of the past is so much better in so many ways than music of today. There was so much more raw talent, creativity, quality, musicianship, great lyrics, passion and emotion in music of past decades. When a song from 40, 50, or 60 years ago can still move you today, you know it's real music.

Not all music of the past was good, and not all music of today is bad. There are still some great songs being created. I just personally think that there was so much more better music in previous times.

I would agree that the music of the past is better. Of course, we have some of the best artists today and they produce good music too, but when I listen to some old pieces of music from the 80s or 90s, they just seem more meaningful and better.

In my opinion, the music industry between the 70's and 90's era produced timeless, classic, vintage, and original hits that had more substance to the content created not only for the artist but relatable fans around the world that could understand to get them through "tough" transitions in life.
