The storyline of the book, "Of the Earth" by Kim Cousins is amazing. Character development seems well fleshed out. Congratulations to the author on being BOTD. Beautiful review.

A dystopian story about talking animals is interesting on its own, but the religious undertones take this book to another level. The author highlights the biblical references right from the start, inviting readers to investigate the source. I appreciate the themes of loyalty, friendship, and courage in the face of adversity. Thank you for the note about the book's heavy topics, and thank you for a great review!

For readers of fantasy and adventure, Kim Cousins focuses on different relationships battling an array of tribulations. Her characters and talking animals face miracles, catastrophes, and betrayals that mirror the events in the Bible. Thank you for the informative review.

From the sampling, this seems like an interesting story about a dog, a cat and a farmer who are traveling in a dystopian world. What will they see? How will they get along? How will their journey end? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

In a dystopian future where professing religion is prohibited, the protagonists in the story develop friendships. Fans of faith-based dystopian fiction will enjoy this.

'Of the Earth' also sheds light on pressing environmental issues, which is a topic of great importance to many young adults today. The book reminds us of our responsibility towards the earth and the consequences of our actions, prompting deeper reflection on our own role in preserving the natural world.

As a negative point, readers looking for an escape from aspects relating to life during a pandemic or religious war may want to look elsewhere. These themes and events, such as natural disasters, the declination of civilization, and even spiritual exorcism, add a tone of violence to this book that is threaded throughout the narrative. In that sense, this book is not for the faint of heart, and I walked away from it with a heavier feeling.
That's me. I know some people read this kind of novel as a way to cope with or understand reality, but they just make me sad or anxious. Thank you for considering this.
Great review!

This sounds absolutely fascinating! A story about talking animals coming together during the difficult times of life! It sounds like a breath of fresh air. Thank you for including the warning about the religious overtones of the book. That might be off putting for some people because of their beliefs. Excellent job on giving just the right amount of information to keep the reader interested and well informed about the books contents!

Nice review. I am not sure if I would enjoy a dystopia as of now. Talking animals does seem like a welcome distraction from the heavy reading that I have done recently but you have mentioned about the tone of violence. Nevertheless, the review is very detailed and helpful.

I'm not usually attracted to dystopian stories, but I like the talking animals in this one.

I appreciate your honest review. Even though I like some dystopian fiction, the heaviness you felt by the end of the book, coupled with the Christian load, makes me feel like this book isn't for me.

I love the genre of this book, it’s the combination of adventure/fantasy and romance. I really like the way how it portrays the friendship of the dog and cat since I’m a fur parent.
