Thank you for the thorough review. It's quite a build up for a story to claim it to be unique. With so much writing done and an astonishing amount of new books coming out (seemingly) each moment only a few authors can come up with something that would deserve to be called unique. Even fewer of them are actually written well.
I love character-based fiction, but this specific review made my head spinning a bit. With so many names listed within a few paragraphs, I couldn't decide if it was important for me to get all the who-is-who already from the review. Other than that, good to know about a good book.

To elaborate on my previous response, I'm also not interested in a tale with illicit feelings/relationships and someone who betrays - or attempts to betray - their marriage. Again, thanks for the thorough review, though.

I love stories that full of mysteries and this is an example of that. This book is totally engaging to the readers and I like how the author is able to involve medical, legal, and religious ideas in one book. Congrats on being the Book of the Day. Thank you for this great review.

There is supposed to be a free sample today but it’s not free so I downloaded the free sample instead, it’s a pretty good read.

Sounds like the complexity of relationships are the main focus in this book. I don't know if I'll read it because medical fiction don't interest me.

this book seems to really talk about the issues families face today. Everyone is busy with their own things and forget there are others who also need their attention. Good review.

This was a good review giving just enough to still leaving me to wanting more. Judging first solely from the description that I have read about the book I was intrigued by it so much so that I had already purchased the book before reading this review. Now, reading the review and reflecting on what I previously read this book is sounding better and better hope it will be one of those great reads

Sounds like a book where the story actually drives it along instead of cheap action. It seems like a Jeffrey Archer type story with a wide expanse of stories and characters. Not what I expected when I saw the cover but one I will definitely add to my list to read. Thank you for the review!

I have read few short stories written by Coles and I know that the author is in favor of discussing human relationships. But with your review I understood that this one is too complex and I may not interested in it. So I will pass by this one. Anyway congratulations on being BOTD

The book sounds good. I would certainly pick it up to read if I get the chance. I would like to know more about Luke and Lucy. Congrats to the author.

This book seems really intense. There's so much going on. I couldn't even keep the characters straight in the review, but I've heard so many good things about Coles's writing style. I like the struggling juggle between home and work.

I think you did an excellent review. I think it will be an awesome read. In real life you have people that think more of their careers than those they may hurt, like patients. We all know people that are finding it hard to balance family and work, along with all the other activities we do. We also know that in real life, circumstances can draw people together. So I personally will like the reality of the story, knowing that some will be able to relate to some part of the story. I also, loved Coles book, The Surgeon's wife. It was well written and it kept me interested. Therefore, I look forward to finding out what happens in this story.

"The Spirit of Want" sounds like a very complicated story. Based on the review, however, I admire the author's ability to maintain the reader's interest throughout the entire book - while developing many story arcs and addressing many difficult topics.

I agree, the combination of drama in medical, legal and religious arena to tell a tale will actually cause a head spin. I like how you brought out this point about marriage that it's not just built on love but also on history and need. The book seem to have an interesting and fascinating writting. i would love to go through and enjoy the drama. Great review.
