A good review of the book The Spirit of Want by William H. Coles. After reading the sample portion of the book, it seemed like a good book to continue to read. It seems like Luke is in a difficult situation with his desire to deal with situations with integrity and others not so much concerned about that. Congratulations on BOTD!

The book is quite good giving the fact that Cole is able to merge three themes perfectly in one art. There might be continuity issues but the book is a good trial. My rating though is 2/4 . There's that can be added to this book.

What an intriguing book! From the blurb, I expected a bit of a romance plot with Lucy being head-over-heels for the televangelist. But I'm delighted to find out that it's a mix of medical, legal and religious drama. I love that the author looks at the complexity of the relationships, especially among the family members. Is it surrounding Jennifer or the adopted child? It's great that the author did vast research into the legal field. It will make the book feel even more realistic and relatable.

I wish the blurb had done the book more justice because if I didn't read this review, I would have missed out on this book completely!

Seems like a lot of emotions are involved in this story. It does sound interesting though. I was undecided whether to read this book or not but thanks to your thorough review, I'm considering it :techie-studyingbrown:

The review is really good. The writer is also well known. A legal medical story that sounds really intriguing. A husband and wife as a doctor and an attorney with both very responsible workloads that can only make the marriage very difficult. The reviewer point out there is so much more to this story than just that.

The mystery and intrigue of the medical and legal elements of this book sound good, but I am not really a fan of stories which involve a huge religion aspect or discussion. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!

I've read some of the author's books like The Surgeon's Wife, and I really enjoyed reading them. This one has elements of drama and mystery, some of my favorites, I'm sure I'll enjoy it too. Nice review.

The world's of medicine, law, and religion all collide in this thriller leading the reader down the path of quite a page turner. With the amount of animosity that these characters have for one another family gatherings sound to be interesting oh to be a fly on the wall.

Thanks for the review. This does sound like it would be a very complex read full of emotions and levels of character identity showing through. It does sound like it may bring about a bunch of twist and turns that would be very intriguing to this novel. I am glad that you found it worthy of a 4/4 and nothing really detracting from the book. It is rare to find books that you enjoy as much as you seem to have enjoyed this one.

Good to see an author who researched his subjects of medicine, law and religion.

Thanks for the great review. I like reading a good medical mystery written by someone who really does there research. Although I don't know what all the medical terms are I like hearing them and trying to figure them out.
