Usually knowing there's no mystery in a mystery novel would be a turn off for me.
But in this book, the content alone is capable of keeping me interested. I like that the author has used well-developed characters. The book seems to be full of so many twists and turns. I have to agree that certain heroes in books are so good, even to the villain they are so polite and kind and forgiving, that you feel like shaking some sense into them. I'm glad to see that the characters are capable of arousing negative as well as positive feelings in reaction to the story. Therefore, I think the author has done a good job with the book.

This review has me wanting to read this book right away. The relationship between Miguel and Gina sounds like it turns intense and extremely interesting when the DEA gets involved. Thanks for a great review!

Great review. This book sounds like a definite must read for me. I love a good crime thriller with lots of action, suspense, and relatable characters. The fact that there plot twists in abundance also is a huge plus for me. Congrats to the author on a terrific review. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you for your review! It made me want to read the book. It has an interesting premise. I do love that this is an action-filled novel. I wonder why Miguel is interested in Gina if his interest only lies in making money.

I feel the book was well written and enjoyable. I can also relate Gina's problems to problems people are facing due to the recession. I would also rate it 4 out of 4. Thanks for a great review

A struggling artists, a cocaine supplier, and a DEA agent with a vendetta gives an excellent background for this crime-thriller. I see this as having an excellent set up for a thrilling read.

Appearances can indeed be deceiving. I will definitely look this book up to see how she falls into the trap of the handsome guy as well as how she saves herself. Congrats on BOTD.

I also read this book; unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much. I thought the author went on quite a few tirades about drugs that didn't flow smoothly with the narrative. Additionally, the characters felt one-dimensional and were difficult to relate to.

Thank you for your review! I love that the author manages to make us love the heroes and hate the villains, and then suddenly hate the heroes and kinda like the villains! I'm also glad that this book had character development. When you mentioned that there were three main characters in the book, does that mean the book had three different perspectives?

Thank you for your well written review. I love it when a book displays character development and very relatable, flawed humans as supporting characters. I appreciate your commentary about that. Your 4 out of 4 star rating seems justified based on your thoughts.

Books with suspense and a touch of romance are appealing. Besides your review, I have also sampled few pages of the book, and the humour in there kept me hooked the whole way through. Enchanting review!

Great review Lg_99. I'm really glad you enjoyed the book as your review is very compelling. This definitely sounds like the kind of crime thriller I would enjoy. Fast paced, suspenseful and great character development make this story a winner.

I just finished watching a Netflix series about the organized drug crime in Canada, so I'm all ready for this book. It sounds like an intriguing story with good character development. I love to love a villain! Thanks for the great review.
