Thanks for this excellent review. I'm amazed at the perfect review. I would categorize this book as a thriller, given the action sequences and plot described. I like that there are three main characters and that the author builds them all. Nothing is really perfect, but I'm interested in reading it. I would love to find out what happens with Gina and her drug-smuggling mercenary boyfriend, as well as the DEA agent. Sounds like a cool story.

I love books with attention to detail and are realistic in that sense. Although so of your nitpicks seem to offset that impression, I'm assuming most of the book is quite good. Would be a good book to gain more information on the subject of drug enforcement.

I like a book with some depth and this story appears to have very well developed characters. Although not necessarily a mystery, I'll take a good thriller that keeps the action coming. I will add this one to my list. Thanks for the great review!

Great review. I’m generally not interested in books with drugs and violence, but the story seems to be well researched and developed.

The strategic aspect of this story sounds quite intriguing and well done. I'm glad to read that the characters develop as time goes on, and that you just don't know who to like, dislike, or trust. Wonderful review. I wasn't quite sold on the storyline, but you make it sound incredibly compelling.

A crime thriller, a struggle between the bad and the good guys. Who will outwit who, way to go.

This is a really helpful review, sounds like a well-written story. Even the little bit of it that you get in the sample makes me think you're correct in describing the characters as really relatable. Funny about the never-answering-phones thing, I think that happens a lot more nowadays because, well, texting, but it seems weird that it would be done in a context where phone calls are more urgent. Thanks for the review.

Based on the review this book sounds great. I can’t wait to see how the author describes the drug trafficking method. I love a good crime thriller.

This sounds like a very complex and compelling book. I admit, the thing that intrigues me the most from your review is your description of the DEA agent who has become more driven then ever to stop drug dealers. How far is he willing to go to stop them? Will he cross a line and become a ruthless villain himself?

A well detailed book doesn't just carry the reader along but also educates. It equally affords him the chance to be in the moment while engaging his faculties. For these reasons, I would want to read this book.
