I totally agree with that. No matter what age, that is needed. Don't feel old Kae.
That is something that I have been searching for for the longest time. Something that until recently I didn't realize how amazing if felt. But sometimes I wonder and question if the feeling is mutual, if he wants, needs, desires me as much as I do him.

well, i think that can be a question on someone's mind for a long time.. depending on the length of the relationships, if things are new, you are certainly going to question it, it's human nature.

I dare say it is an amazing feeling, to be in love...to feel dsire...Alli I'm sorry you feel doubt at this time...Derek is probably right in the sense
that it is "human nature" to question love or desire, I think fear causes doubt sometimes. But your a beautiful girl Alli, if he can't see that and also see how beautiful you are on the inside then I guess its his misfortune. Just talk to him, be honest, let him know what you think, how you feel, one of the biggest mistakes you can do in a relationship is not communicate, express yourself to him, and go from there.

On the issue of spark... I think spark is about more than just sex and desire. I think spark with the person you're really going to spend your life goes into all aspects of life. Intellectually, emotionally, physically, sexually... the spark survives even through the tough bits and the boring bits, because you connect on a deeper level than you do with anyone else.

Sorry to hear that. All will be well soon enough, then what you are feeling now will just be a distant memory.

Well Kae I can tell you I'm sorry, But I know this was something well overdue for you. You seem to be a very level headed young lady, I know you'll get through this and move onward. You have your memories and you can gain strength through this, grow. Life is one big lesson at times..and each part needs to be played out accordingly. I really do hope you find passion...sparks! :) If all else fails..strap a stick of dynamite to yourself and light it up!!!!! Sparks!!! That should surely "shake" the soul  Just playin :P Dark humor you guys..............

Good description! I think it applies to great friendships as well as romantic relationships. Of course, most people who romantically fall in love say that their partner ends up being their best friend, so it makes sense that the two types of relationships would be similar would be similar.

That's true. Of course, I'm sure each of us has people who love us even if we do not realize who and how much.

One of my teachers in high school--probably my favorite--once told the class that everyone needs more hugs. I think it is true like what you said here Star, and I am reminded of it by that "Free Hugs" video Sleepydumpling posted in the other thread. I think we often do not realize how much we all care about each other, whether we're friends, strangers, or romantic lovers. People need to be shown that they are wanted, needed, desired and loved.
