We are only told the “discovery” of America story without knowledge of all that transpired. Thank you for this insightful review to a book that exposes the other side of the story. Slavery, and the plight of those who had to endure it, should be talked about and not hidden in the shadows.

Based on the review, I don't think this book is for me. There isn't really anything in the story that jumps out as particularly interesting to me. It sounds loosely historically based with under-developed characters. It also has some editing problems.

This is an incredible historical fiction novel that has true events with the author's unique blend of poetic justice. I loved reading the book and the onlinebookclub review was written masterfully. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars and Congrats on being the BOTD.

This book is meant to take you for a ride through a world that is, in a way different from the current generation. Showing the interiors of an Era, coupled with the feelings involved, all this can't be found just going through your history books. It's a superb collection. :techie-studyinggray: :tiphat:

This historical fiction looks awesome. The time around Columbus is cloudy, shrouded with mystery and corruption, but there is some good there. I look forward to reading it!

This review gives insightful idea about this book, which is the fictional plot of a true story, and it appears to be interesting. The book being narrated from the character Guarocuya's point of view, and who seems to be slaved by Columbus in this book, and therefore gives good in depth idea of the story and the lives of the slaves in those days.

I'm usually interested in history, but for some reason, this book doesn't pique my curiosity or makes me interested in it. Speaking of the book, I appreciate the author for writing this book from the perspective of Indians and not Columbus.

Being a history buff, I love historical fiction. I find Columbus to be quite a controversial character, and am interested to get a take on the native Indian's perspective. I have a feeling that this book will drive me to do some research of my own on Columbus.

Thank you for the great review.
