Thanks for the thoroughly insightful review. The book seems to be a great self-help, spiritual guide to getting to know your inner self. Congrats for being BOTD.

I’m not usually into self-help books but I might give them a chance if I can see a practical application. However, as I sampled this book, and was later confirmed by your review, I can’t deal with the complicated vocabulary and I feel the author rambles a bit. Maybe it’s just my perception since English isn’t my first language.
I hope this book can help enlighten those readers that are suitable to the author’s style.
Your review is very analytical and I enjoyed it, thank you.

Thanks for the review. While I can see how this book would interest people, it isn't for me.

I liked the author's argument referring to the necessity to release pain and find salvation through love. However, her ideas seem ambiguous and often much too abstract; at times, they plunge into a kind of mysticism that is not so easy to understand by ordinary readers. Thanks for your detailed review!

Indeed, a book for the general audience. This appears to be a very knowledge-packed self-help book.

I'm interested in books that teach on finding your authentic self, but this book's content doesn't seem in line with what I seek. I won't read it.
This is a good review of the book. :tiphat:

Many thanks for your review. You obviously understood the topic thoroughly, which is more than I can say for myself. I found the sample a little too heavy going for me and my attention started to wander after the first couple of pages. Nevertheless, I'm sure those who enjoy this genre will glean a lot in reading this book. Thanks again!

I have never been one for personal books such as this only because I find myself comfortable and happy with who I am knowing that if I don't like something about myself its not inside me what needs to change but rather what I am doing physically. I do know however that there are others out there that may not feel the same way I do that they may need something such as this to help them find a better happier healthier them abut for me I honestly couldn't get past the first few paragraphs. I am appreciative for the fact that you took your time to read this and review it in doing so you may help others but this just wasn't for me thank you though

Self-discovery is not something I believe comes from a book, so I will not be reading, but thank you for your detailed review.

This is a non-fiction self-help book on personal transformation and the journey to self realization. The onlinebookclub review of the book was written masterfully and highlighted the best the book had to offer. Congrats on being the BOTD.

I really liked the author took time to define her usage of words so that readers could understand her meaning. So often authors start with one definition of a word and switch without warning. It’s nice to see someone taking a logical and consistent approach to language.

I like this book because it combines psychology and many Eastern religions like Buddhism. I think that that many of the concepts that the author laid out in this book are similar to what the Abrahamic faiths discuss. I love the cover art and the meticulous detail that was put into this book. I also am very moved that Kim decided to share a traumatic experience with her readers to connect with them and make them feel like they are not alone.
