I will recommend this book to anyone. It is such a well-written book and the author opens himself up to the reader and we not only learn about his trials and triumphs as we take the journey with him, but we also get to experience them. At the same time, we see a man who has never climbed a mountain in his youth try it in his later years and triumph in such a grand way!
Great read!

Nice review! Reading real people's accounts of such great deeds is always thrilling and inspiring. If you don't mind, shouldn't the word be 'gravity' instead of 'levity' in this review?

I agree with you on most points, but I had to force myself through the pages a few times, especially when concerned with the improv part. I think he was just grateful to the people who introduced him to the art and wanted to honor them, but most of the time it was just long and irrelevant. Overall, this is still a well-written, honest and touching memoir. And it did give me lots of excitement and genuine curiosity about mountaineering (that's magical for a veteran homebody like me).

During my younger days I did a little bit of mountain climbing myself, although nowhere near as high as those summits mentioned it was a great experience and nice feeling when you reach the top. This is definitely right up my alley and am looking forward reading his story! Thanks for your review!

This is a great book. An inspiring story that I really enjoyed reading. David comes across as just an average guy, but ends up achieving amazing things, one step at a time.

This story is truly inspiring. The last thing David wanted to do upon his return from Denali was climb another mountain but he did until he climbed the seven summits. With every physical mountain, he climbed there was a personal mountain he overcame in his life. This book is one of favourites.

Climbing the seven tallest mountains in the world is the most challenging and dangerous adventure, in my opinion. Every mountain has different vibes brought to David. Different climates, nature, and weather, all have an amazing feel. It's not the achievement, but it's a feeling - that's what David said when he successfully climb all the mountains. I enjoyed this book, it inspires me to trek, one of my interests. And I enjoyed your amazing review!
