this is a great review. I am glad for the recommendation you have given to future readers of this thriller.

Sounds like an interesting plot with all of the details included and the Mafia being involved. But I think I’d prefer to read the first book before diving into this story so that I don’t miss too much. Good review though.

I typically like crime thrillers but tend to avoid ones about hit men and mobs. It's interesting that all of the characters are self-absorbed and you wouldn't classify any of them as good guys.

Rosemary, terrific review here. You're right about Sage's prose, it's as clear as glass. And your comment about it being an excellent stand-alone tale despite being the second installment in a series is a definite plus point for me. Thanks for this.

Abate the Nuisance, by Bill Sage, is a crime fiction novel, chiefly about blackmail. It is an interesting novel to go through.

Thank you for your review, Rosemary. I have not read the book yet, but am looking forward to doing so. I appreciated your clear summary of the book, and your warning of the violence that it contains. I also enjoyed that you explained the book would contain witty/clever characters, that is one of my favorite aspects in a book. Very well done!

The review is enthralling. I am already enthusiastic to read the book. Nice work done here. I would love to read and just get a feel of how the various themes, especially on blackmail, was handled. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Thanks for your review! It always seems like the past will come back to haunt us. I'm curious to learn more about the innerworkings of the mafia and mob. I wonder when Al and Jake's paths will cross again. Al seems like he will do whatever it takes to silence Goldman.

How odd that none of the characters is a ‘good guy’. Still, the story sounds very intriguing. I enjoyed reading your summary, and your very detailed review. It contains all of the relevant information relating to the plot, characters, and their witty, yet realistic conversations. Thank you!

Good review. Thanks for clarifying. I read the first chapter and was a bit confused. Your review helped. No "good guy" in this story? I love it! Thanks again.
