I like crime thrillers. I definitely like mafia stories, they have action and thoughtful planning. I would rather not read a lot of violence but it won't stop me from reading the book because it has it. It must be suspenseful too. I definitely might read this one.

I'm not really a fan of crime thriller novels so I don't think that this book is for me. It does seem interesting with it plot of crime, gangs and blackmail. Even though it has an interesting story, I am going to pass on reading the book.

Normally I'm not one for thrillers, I freaked out reading them just as bad as watching, however this book makes you want to read the next page. It grabbed my attention almost immediately. It's one of those you have to make yourself put down so that you can enjoy every word of it and make it last more than a few hours. Would recommend it to be read.

An interesting story where the bad guy's
win. This has good character development that you can get a real feel for them. I wish the vulgar language would have been left out.

I love a good suspenseful story with surprising twists. Plus, mobsters and hit men sound pretty interesting. Based on your review, I will have to add this to my to read list. Thank you.

I usually like crime dramas, but I'm not usually a big fan of the whole "mafia" theme. It just always feels too unrealistic to me. I read a few pages of the book, and the writing seemed pretty good. I'll still probably pass on this book though. Thanks for the well written review.

Abate the nuisance seems a good read. Someone's dark history can be used as a tool for ones undoing.

Jake and Al pursue different career interests. I root for Al however who manages to be the good judge even when faced with a blackmail from the mafia. I'll put this in my TBR list. Thanks for your wonderful review.

I’m usually not interested in crime thrillers in the first place, and I think the jumping back and forth in time would bother me, so I won’t be reading this one. It’s nice that this second book in the series can be read as a stand-alone, though.

Two boys that grow up and one turns out good and one turns out bad. I’m intrigued to find out what happened between the two since the are on opposite career paths if one could call it that. I like these kind of books so I’m excited to put it on my to read list.

I love crime and thriller novels especially if it includes the courtroom. I like backstories that go back and forth, in contrary and the witty conversations that you mentioned. I absolutely think I'm gonna be hooked up on this one. Thanks for sharing your awesome review.

A crime fiction novel mainly speaking about blackmail. Unveiling the activity of the Mafia, this narrative is full of fascinating action. It starts in an intriguing manner and then flows smoothly. This is a book that I should be burying myself in very soon.
