This must be a possible alternative to the weight-loss program we often see being hyped around. I might give a good perusal to this. Seems a gainful book to have around. Thank you for the comprehensive review.

A book in which the author reveals his weight loss secrets in a straightforward plan so that readers can set themselves free from unwanted pounds. He uses the progression of time to his advantage and forgoes the quick style approach that many programs solicit to the public.

Seems like a nice book about nutrition. The title doesn't just fit what the book is about in any way. Nice review.

I think I would read this book out of curiosity. I've always had a hard time maintaining a healthy weight, so I think a new approach could be worth a try. I like how the approach is slow and in phases. Thank you for the review.

I am really interested to read this - it is different to other weight loss books in that it deals with the mindset required to lose weight, and the underlying psychological issues that can cause persistent weight gain. Thanks for an excellent review!

I'm glad that this author focused on how you think, not just what you do. Having a positive mindset is an essential element for meaningful change in many circumstances including weight loss.

I expected the title Zeus Defied to be a sci-fi/fantasy novel set in ancient Greece. Imagine my surprise that it is actually a book about weight loss. The reviewer indicates that the author uses the concept of Zeus as a "Greek metaphor" from start to finish in the novel. As an astrologer, I can see the use of the Zeus/Jupiter mythology in this way. Jupiter is the archetype of expansion and abundance, which can sometimes be taken to the extreme. Having picked this image for the title, I would be curious to see where Jupiter and Sagittarius (the sign Jupiter rules) are placed in the author's chart. Thanks for the review and to the author for the book.

Though I am not in need of a weight management book, the fact the reviewer thinks so highly of it is good news for anyone who is looking for something like it. I like that the author apparently included scientific research to support his claims. If advise any reader who's going to try this method out to verify whether or not the science is anything more than baseless lies. A great review, though.

I am always skeptical about weight-loss books, especially those that focus on a "brand new technique" or one that isn't sustainable. From the sound of this review, it really does seem like the author focuses on developing and maintaining good habits and a good relationship with food. I do have a few questions about how the "Zeus" aspect from the title plays into it - but then I guess that's something I will have to read to understand!
I was born with a reading list I will never finish.

Thanks for the review! The Zeus/Greek metaphor has piqued my interest. It sounds like the writer is knowledgeable about weight loss and wants to advise others the processes and danger zones. I don't think this book is for me, however, as I do not want to lose weight.

I've read a lot on weight loss and there's usually an emphasis on how quickly you can lose weight. This book sounds different in that it emphasises your mindset, and setting realistic goals for losing weight. Thanks for your review, and congrats to BOTD!
