It was a trip of discoveries and a wonderful instantaneous holiday made interesting by the initial personality skirmishes between Sarah and Tom, the condescending employee presence of a company threatened by the group of four's find, and, more especially, Sarah's perplexing yet stirring extraordinary experience.
I like how you captured the whole book with that sentence! William, Myra, Tom, and Sarah go on a long hike in the Olympic National Park. They encounter differences of opinion, danger, and mystical experiences. There are interesting viewpoints on the migration of humans, as well as stories of a long ago people living in that area.

Τhis looks like a lovely heartwarming story. I hope that every character gets a happy ending.

I agree that Strong Heart isn't a typical fantasy novel but I really enjoyed it. I would encourage anyone who likes the fantasy genre to try it, even though it is set in a realistic, everyday setting. Thanks for the review.

Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon revolves around the arduous yet wonder-filled #Adventure and #ComingOfAge of an orphaned girl named Sarah Cooley. It started when she surprisingly appeared on the doorstep of her grandfather, Tom. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Interesting review. You do make this book sound really interesting, if only because you take the time to really discuss the characters in it.
I was born with a reading list I will never finish.

Nice review! I also read/reviewed this adventure book and loved it. I agree with almost everything you have written in your review. You really covered the themes in the story very well without giving away any spoilers. Congrats to BOTD!

Thank you for the review. I do not think this book is for me, but I suppose there will be many who will find of interest this particular coming-of-age adventure with touches of mysticism, especially if it is so well written and manages to transmit so effectively the aesthetics of its fictional universe.

great review. This coming of age book really takes a look at family and traditions along with mysticism and fantasy.Sarah suddenly appears at the doorstep of her grandfather Tom and joins him on a trek to his father's grave in the woods. Such a wonderful book and I definitely enjoyed reading it.

I sometimes hate how people get too nitpicky on details like that when the author just wants to tell a fun story...especially when the story is fiction....

I enjoy the outdoors so much and the characters' descriptive jouney in the Olympic National park would appeal to me greatly. I also like how the author has infused his own experiences and education in creating this living characters. Nice review, I enjoyed it.

This is a genre that I really like, and this sounds like an enjoyable story. I like that you say that you had a sense of knowing even though the author hadn't actually given you a lot of backstory on the characters. It's too bad that the narration wasn't the best. I'll probably just read it then. Wonderful review!
