This book tells the story of Connie Archer who goes to live with his Aunt in Tinkers Grove after the death of his mother. Here he begins to learn about his ancestry and encounters others with Celtic roots like his own, but also some dangerous characters. The descriptive text provides the reader with vivid imagery. A mixture of Celtic myth, Christian tradition and Native American folklore, a battle between good and evil is appealing to lovers of fantasy novels. Thanks for the well-rounded review.

Thanks for your thorough review! I don’t normally read fantasy, but I was intrigued by the sample. After reading your review, I think I will check this one out!

While you seemed to enjoy it, I enjoyed your review more than the preview I read. It was particularly hard to put myself in the story because I didn't recognize many of the geographical locations, and I didn't care as much for the writing style. However, you're enthusiasm makes me want to know more, especially because I enjoy urban fantasy, and I couldn't tell that's what this book's genre was to start off.

A blend of Celtic myths and Native American culture makes the book seem very interesting. I would like to read the story of Conor Archer.

I've never been a big fan of the fantasy genre and I've often wondered what all the fuss is about! If there is any book that could change my mind, I think it might be this one. Your review is so full of praise, I'm sure it will make for an interesting and enjoyable read. Many thanks for the recommendation.

For sure this the book that I need to read. The author certainly did a lot of research before writing this intriguing story, urban fantasy is not an easy genre to get into. Christian tradition, Celtic myth, and Native American folklore are all that the book is made of.

Fantasy! fantasy! fantasy!, I don't think there's any genre of literature I appreciate the way I do to fantasy. Roan is a mixture of Epic fantasy, urban fantasy and dark fantasy. I really enjoyed the reviews I've read on this book. I'm definitely going to put it in my want to read library.

This sounds like an interesting read. Urban fantasy is something I usually have a hard time getting into, but form this review it seems like one I might enjoy.

I like a lot of urban fantasy books. I may have to give this one a chance. I appreciate that you touched on the world-building aspects. It’s one of my favorite parts of fantasy!
