This book about prison life and prison form looks interesting, and needed. I love forward to reading it and passing on the book to others.

This is a story told by a mother and son about the son's wrongful incarceration. While it seems well-written and profound, this is not something I would be interested in reading.

"Reaching the Shore" by Davin Jake Douma and BonnieJane Hall".
An all around good read for myself, would defiantly refer it on.

This story is really intriguing. It is a call to people who have zero endurance and low perseverance and tolerance rate. Whatever we do, wherever we are, we should not give up until we reach our zenith. Thanks for the review.

I can't imagine the trauma it would have been for both mother and son in relation to the conviction for murder. And if, indeed, page 312 provides reasonable doubt as to the accuracy of the murder charge, then, the experience would feel doubly worse. But Davin's enduring attitude and later achievements do provide food for thought which I'll be ruminating on. Thanks for the succinct review.

Thank you for your in-depth review. The true story of a teenage boy sent to adult prison for murder is heartbreaking. This sounds like an important book to read. I'll add it to my "Want to Read" bookshelf. Congratulations to the author on being chosen as BOTD.

It's a unique memoir, a story of a young man told by the mother. Beautifully written and thought-provoking novel. I won't be able to read it. Congratulations on being BOTD 💐💐👍🏻👍🏻

This sad and moving account of a teen’s murder conviction and survival in prison is sure to stir the emotions. It’s not what I’m looking for right now, but fans of inspiring memoirs will want to check it out.

I do believe that there are innocent people in prison, sadly. I can only imagine the brutality of prison. It's something I hope I never have to experience. This book sounds profound and worth reading. Thanks for the great introduction.

It's indeed an intriguing story about enduring hardships in life. I can't imagine how terrifying life in prison would be and how a difficult time the family has to go through. It will be a heart-wrenching read. I am sure it will inspire me to get through difficult days in my life.

This truly sounds like an inspiring book from your review. I would love to read it because the writing sounds beautiful! And although this is a brutal and violent book, I think I can commend the author on keeping it real and raw because sometimes that's exactly how it is in the real world... brutal and unforgiving.

I can just imagine the atrocities in the prison and justice system, from the prisoners to the prison guards and warden and most especially to the prosecutors and even judges. I cannot imagine the pain Davin has endured physically and emotionally. But the way he has risen in spite of hardships is a story worth telling. Thanks for your review!

It’s so sad how an act committed or participated in can put a person on a path that is so awful for such a long time. The first few pages of this show how much his mother loved her son, but then his life takes a turn that she never saw coming. Great job on this. Such a scary situation to live through.

What an amazing story. Enduring hardships is something everybody goes through, though not necessarily on this level; it's quite inspiring to hear how Bonnie handled these difficulties with grace, and how Davin has matured and reflected. Very few books are able to leave a lasting memory, nevertheless touch the soul, so this is definitely an incredible book. Thank you for your review!
