Did 'Ghost Face' on the cover make you want to read the book more or less?

Having the "Ghostface" on the cover made me not want to read it. I love the "Scream" franchise, but using it for the cover of a book that is completely unrelated to that franchise made me feel like not a lot of thought and effort went into the cover design. For me, that lack of thought on the cover calls into question the content of the book as well.

I must say that I try not to 'judge a book by its cover' but in this instance, I found it an immediate turn off. This is likely due to the fact that I am not big on horror of any kind.

At first glance it gives an idea that this book is part of the Scream series. Because the cover is a bit rough around the edges, it also seems to be like an unofficial guide or something similar.

The cover of the book did catch my attention, but it looked a little... cheap to me. I prefer neat cover, while this one is quite messy and unoriginal as if it was copied from stock designs. The Ghost Face is still a nice touch though.

Definitely less. I try not to but I unfortunately very often judge a book by its cover. I'm an extremely visual person and this cover just put me off from the start.

When The Face Of Fear was BOTD, and I saw the cover, my first thought was, "NO WAY, I am not a fan of horror books. " Fortunately, when I checked the blurb on Amazon, I decided to add the book to my TBR list. Right choice.

Therefore, let's say that I did not like the cover at all.

The cover of any book is really the first impression it can leave in the minds of potential readers. The cover got me stuck a little bit, but yes it did capture my attention actually.

That was the first thing that caught my attention.... Curiosity to know the content increased. As a lover of Horror books and movie, I'd say the cover is a total yes..... The chills and suspense it's giving me makes me more curious to flip the page
