What's your genre preference?

My preferred genres differ depending on media. For movies, just about anything goes except bad romances with bland plots and characters who portray the known stereotypes and horror because I'm just too scared to actually watch. Yet with books, I'm open to all genres. Mystery, adventure/fantasy, and romance are my all time favorites. In terms of social media I really enjoy the the clever short stories I find which are usually crosser-over with existing characters from other worlds and can be surprisingly sweet in a platonic way.

When it comes to books, I like historical fiction. There is nothing I enjoy as much as reading about past events, those of great significance and seeing how people were able to live through them. I also like biographies/autobiographies.

I enjoy a range of genres from romance to crime to thrillers to horror in regards to both books and movies.

My interests differ. I enjoy reading crime and fantasy novels while I prefer comedy and action movies.

I like C/T/M/H genre in novels, but I like to watch rom-com movies. I like to watch suspense thriller movies too.

Frankly speaking my interest are different. I am not a much fan of science fiction genre while reading but I love watching science fiction movies.

I really enjoy horror movies, as well as anything that has to do with crimes! but sometimes I also enjoy documentaries, and fantasy movies as well. Plus, I really like some superhero movies

I love the fantasy genre, specifically medieval specifically and while I'm not a fan of the romantic genre itself, I'm a sucker for non-forced romantic-subplots.

I don't really have a favorite genre. I'd say I look at the stories mainly and that genres don't mean much to me. However, I like things that have a feeling of something new, something I'm not familiar with and something that's not usual and that feeling is all over my favorite books, movies and music.

It crosses over sometimes. For example, I love to read mystery/suspenseful books, as well as fantasy/adventure. However, when I watch movies, I much rather prefer romance, fantasy, and drama.

When I watch a movie, I like to watch either a comedy to take my mind off of things, a gory horror movie for the entertainment value, or an artsy film to appreciate how all the elements work together to create a thing of beauty.

With books all I ask for is something well-written with an interesting plot. My mind can fill in the blanks however it wants to, so I can be less picky than I am when it comes to movies, where all the choices are made for me.

My genre prefernces are pretty erractic in both, but a similar kind of erractic. Like, I probably watch and read similar percentages of each genre.

I work in retail and after dealing with them for hours I like to come home and unwind to a romantic comedy.

I like fantasy for both books and movies. I also enjoy detective books, but I don't think movies portray these stories very much due to the time limit.
