Those are some sweet sounding anecdotes that you mention. It sounds like this is a very heart warming and uplifting sort of a book.

To be honest, reading through the review made me feel the urge to already have myself flipping from page to page of the book already, lost in the adventures of Pogo. The review is sure a great one.

Pogo’s Tale: The Life of a Therapy Dog by Linda Lutes follows the journey of Linda (a now retired RN) and Pogo (her loyal and vastly intelligent dog, who, as the title suggests, served time as a therapy dog).

After the death of Linda’s previous dog, Bonzai, Linda wanted a new puppy in her life. She and her husband took Pogo home from the adoption center for a night, and it was love at first non-bite. Having taken Bonzai to work in order to adequately care for him, Linda understood the potential benefit of a comforting animal on a patient. Thus, Pogo became a therapy dog. This book chronicles the many people Linda and Pogo met, as well as later adventures.

A lovely review of what seems to be a charming book. I love animals so I am sure that I will enjoy this book and the descriptions of the playful antics of the dog.

The book is great. It proves that dog can be more than just a pet. The intelligence, friendliness and activeness of the dog is a good cure for the people that needed her. The dog is also a great partner to her owner.

From a sampling, this is an interesting book about how one therapy dog can change many lives. While not a particular fan of biological stories of this kind, I still found this to be an interesting story. Well done.

Great review. I love to hear about stories where animals are involved. I am thinking of getting a dog a “therapy dog” for my son and would love to see how Pogo helps others.

This book just highlights how important animals are in our lives. We have two dogs at home and I can honestly relate to you! There are many times that I laughed because of our dogs' antics. No doubt Pogo and Linda's adventures were adorable, too. Thank you for your review!

I’m not really a dog lover, but I’m aware that animals sense things that humans don’t. They are an early warning system. Theraphy dogs deserve any acclaim they receive. Pogo sounds like a darling. Wonderful review.

This book is really uplifting and engaging, and shows not only how humans make amazing cheerful situations in life, but also animals.
I have 5 cats at home and i can really feel their affection like Pogo to all people she meets.
