After reading this review I certainly can understand why so many will find this book so appealing. But unfortunately I won't be among them, because it is totally not my cup of tea and I have to pass.

:good-luck-smiley: :good-luck-smiley: :good-luck-smiley: :good-luck-smiley: Your review seems practical as if am already reading the the full story with the examples you cited of your grandfather when you compared it to what Linda did to John when he fell asleep while watching the TV. This made me remember my friend in school who keeps dogs. I will recommend this book to him after reading.

A book about a dog who brings joy to the people around it reminds of a dog i once had.Reading a book like this one will bring back memories to peoole who had or still have a dog.

There is no doubt that dog lovers will enjoy reading the book. I love that the author uses poems to spice up the story. It's lovely.

Therapy dogs are certainly beneficial in helping someone cope with an illness or loss. Not particularly a book for me, but I am sure that those who love dogs would enjoy this one. Thanks for your wonderful review.

Thanks for this review! I am really looking forward to reading this book. I remember when my father was in a nursing home and someone brought in two adorable dogs dressed up for Halloween. My dad's eyes lit up and the smile on his face was priceless! The instinct animals have when people are in need of compassion and love, and the impact they have on us truly amazes me. I can't wait to read these anecdotes about Pogo and Linda, and the countless lives they touched.

Therapy animals have a significant role in our society, especially in the lives of those that they touch. The brilliance of all animals is astonishing, but therapy animals are especially wise. They have a special sense for what their patients need in any given situation. It appears that this story between Linda and Pogo is written almost like a love story from a grateful owner/caregiver to her sweet therapy pup.

I don't like dogs; l'm always scared of entering houses that have dogs. Anyway, it's good to know that the book is interesting.

This sounds like a very sweet book. I tend to prefer mysteries, fantasies, and adventures, though, so this one might not be on my reading list...

Pets can really make a big difference in the home. My aunt (who adores her cats) can attest to that. Though I don't have many personal pet stories (as I have this unholy fear of bites), I think I will enjoy Pogo's adventures and therapy "tails." Thanks for the free book, Linda!

I have a few issues with this book; all the long drawn out personal stories, this is a book review not a memoir of the reviewer. Also the perfect rating for an imperfect book is always a miss guided review. Finally the statement about the bit in the book about drug abuse, it makes it sound like the reviewer doesn’t think the average person can learn a lesson from those who have been addicted to drugs.

This book sounds very heartwarming. I love how strong the bond is between humans and dogs, and this book highlight just that. I can also relate to it because I have a rescue dog of my own. I will definitely be giving it a read!
