Official Review: Violent Leadership by Wesley Middleton

A good book to help leaders is something really needed nowadays. I just wished that instead of the word "violent", some other words like "fierce" or "passionate" were used. I can understand the effect desired, but sometimes, what goes on in the subconscious is something beyond what we initially intended it to be.

I can hear that the book contains helpful advice for how to be a successful leader. I can't get on board with the use of the word violent, and for the title, no less. Seems like a gimmick that didn't work, at least not on my account. It's like naming a book about good parenting The Rapist Father. "Violence" should never ever be used to communicate a positive quality.

Violent Leadership by Wesley Middleton is a #NonFiction book about #Economics that presents the author's philosophy on leading teams with passion, strength, and force. It does not refer to fighting, anger, or brutality. It is a positive energetic pursuit of purpose and success.

I would like to read the first ten pages first, before I will decide to read the entire contents. Thanks for the awesome review.

It's a good thing that the author shares his lessons from his own success and failure. I also liked that he included insights on how to work and understand millennials as they are filling up the workforce today. As a millennial myself, I understand how hard it is to get inside our heads. My parents have a hard time doing so. Anyways, pity that the editing is a bit annoying and irritating. Thanks for the honest review though!

Thank you for a review that both clarifies and critiques the title in a way that makes one appreciate creativity, yet properly communicates the intent of the book. The metaphor of a thermostat or thermometer seems more appropriate in my opinion. Perhaps in the next edition the author will choose to include this figure in a more prominent way - maybe even as part of the title.
It is also good to know that entrepreneurs are still striving to manage and motivate businesses in a positive way.

Sounds like the author knows a lot.of the ins and outs of business, and how all employees ate not built.for every job. It is good that the author mentions finding the right job for the right employee. Thanks for the review.

I really liked reading your review. Sounds like this book would be good for someone who wants to become a better businessperson. To learn how to take their passion and channel into something productive and successful. Not my type of book, but definitely a good one to check out if you're into that sort of thing.

I always find it helpful and insightful to know what others considered their downfalls to be. This is a title that certainly requires provacative information on be included, and hopefully that's the case with this book. Great review!

The word "violent" does have a negative connotation to it. I initially thought this would be about the bad habits that "bad" leaders do to their employees. However, after reading your review, I realized it was quite the opposite. Thank you for the enlightenment. I added this to my to-read list!
