An autobiographical account chronicling the start of Schneiderman's furniture business sounds inspiring. Adding sentimental pieces, historical facts, and entries make it more relatable. That it was well-written is another plus. Not for me, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

Name of the book didn't catch me much, but this review made me want to read the book. Reading the title anything came to mind but retail business. Currently thinking of ways to startup retail business, this book might help me out. Will surely read this one.

Call of the Couch by Larry Schneiderman seems like a book that people who are starting a new business or trying to keep an old business alive should seriously consider reading. Not everyone can be in academics, most people are called or destined to do business. One thing touched my heart in this very detailed review: "A wildly low price isn't always what it appears. Consider the apt maxim: When you buy quality you only cry once." Everyone, including me, makes the mistake of buying the cheapest item on sale, which, sometimes, is not of the best quality.

I will definitely read this book. Thank you for such a good review!

The author spills infinite wisdom gathered from years of running and growing the family business. His hard work and open-mindedness led to tremendous success in the furniture business, but it wasn't without challenges.

Thanks for your review. This sounds like a valuable book for those in family businesses, or thinking of starting one. I am not sure it is a book for me though, as a freelancer who would go crazy if working with family!

This is an interesting non-fiction memoir about running a family business and the wisdom to follow one's true path. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review that represented the book perfectly. Congrats @larrysc52874820 for the BOTD.

First, The cover page of this book really described the content. Also, the book is written with a lot of wisdom from a man who took over a family trade, Furniture business. Finally, how he deals with employees, customers, vendors, financial issues is really intriguing. I love how you reviewed this book. Awesome!

I'm at that point in my life when a good and positive business starting read is what I need. Moreover, a book that is also a memoir. I will like it! Thanks for the review! I like the part where you speak about laughing while reading about situations when most would expect to cry. The ability to present your problems with laughter is a rare and precious gift.

Wow! This is a very wonderful review. I'm a fun of history and business materials hence this book will go well with me but my only problem is the hardcopy factor will lock me out.
