The World of Ato, written by Patrick Borosky, is the descriptive story of a girl, a dragon and the world they opened. Together, the two of them and friends they make on the way try to save the other world, all the while trying to keep their own world together.
Ato, the main character, is an orphan. She is wise beyond her years and she is an amazing artist. Iro, the dragon, is clever and likes to give him titles exalting himself. Ato and Iro are well-depicted; they are different in many ways and yet similar in many others. They are both brave and kind to each other and the ones who helped them. There is a lot of focus on Ato’s parents who disappeared and no one really knows what happened to them. This leads Ato to help a king through the loss of his own parents.
Finnick, Violet and Ferrin are some of the people from the other world. Ferrin is a knight, and he provides the others with information about the kingdom, its problems and people. He is not friendly at first, but he warms up to them later on. Violet is a witch; before moving to that new kingdom she was hunted by the knights; she is kind and brave. Finnick is one of the kings in this world. Even though he is young, he is wise and kind-hearted. He is the one helped by Ato’s previous life experiences. Reed is Ato’s best friend. Although he is not from the world they have opened, he is kind towards the people from the foreign kingdom.
The world they have opened is very well described; it is not perfect in any way, but it is interesting, being haunted by creatures that cause problems in society.
The World of Ato is mostly focused on the world’s problems and how Ato, Iro, Ferrin, Violet, Reed, and Finnick could help in solving them, creating a better place for the unhappy people.
The World of Ato is an amazingly well-edited book, it is very well written and described commendably. I recommend this book to readers of all ages, who love medieval times and greatly written stories.
I rate The World of Ato four out of four as I only found minor mistakes in little quantity. I did not rate it three stars because it is a neatly edited book which tells a great, gripping story.

I like how the world is not perfect, because too many others design their worlds with perfection in mind and I find it makes it less believable! Your review is great, and I plan on reading this book in the future!!
