I always appreciate your comments, and it's great that you are able to relate to the author, since most of us can't because we're usually the passengers. Thanks for stopping by!Eva Darrington wrote: ↑09 Feb 2019, 13:21 This is intriguing to me on several levels. I do appreciate your insight about the author's biases. That could be off-putting. I drive for a ride-share company part time. I can relate to some of the themes you describe here. Occupational hazards, fascinating stories, and more. I really enjoyed reading your review. Your writing is always a distinct pleasure to experience.

It was definitely an interesting read! I wouldn't say that the author presents his work as objective, but there is definitely a gap between his awareness of his own subjectivity and the way he presents it. In other words, he only acknowledges the subjectivity but fails to address it/make any attempts to mitigate this subjectivity in his posts.BelleReadsNietzsche wrote: ↑18 Feb 2019, 21:29 Oh, I like the premise of it being from the driver’s perspective! I’m sure he has many interesting things to share. It sounds like not only is he highly subjective (as so many of us are), he isn’t fully aware of that subjectivity and kinda of presents it as objective in the book? Or is that not the case?
Great review, sounds like a compelling read!

Indeed; thanks for stopping by!Rose Harebate wrote: ↑19 Feb 2019, 12:16 The book will be most suitable for people, especially bus operators, who would like to know how Blue handles it. I also like the fact that there is room for people who would like to read about the protagonist's personal life.
