A well written review. While I applaud the author's journey, this is not a genre I particularly enjoy. Congrats on #BOTD.

I love this book's message: when things get tough, take one step at a time. Thank you for the good review, I enjoyed reading it as I think I will enjoy reading this book too.

The story is fresh and brave. It is difficult for a man to expose his insecurities and frustrations in life in a time where age becomes a hindrance to do a more active life. Having said this, there are surely learnings to be had from this novel. Congrats!

I really enjoyed your review. I read the sample, and was hoping for some spiritual reflection later on in the book, and you clarified that for me. Thank you for the wonderful review!

This is the story of David Mauro's journey from a inexperienced middle-aged man to a master mountaineer. I like that the author documented his experience so thoroughly. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent in-depth review.

Becoming a mountain climber at the age of forty-four is a daunting prospect. This seems to be a book filled with inspiration.

Thank you for the great review.

The idea of someone in a soul-searching adventure always inspires me. I love the theme of spiritual journeys. Climbing a mountain in order to get to know yourself better and deal with personal issues resonates with me. This review makes us want to read the book, too. Kudos!

What a compelling review! Also thoroughly done too. This seems to be the kind of book that completes a good bookshelf selection. Kudos to David J Mauro for putting pen to paper and congrats on #BOTD

I am not exactly mountain kind of person and more prefer lazing about seaside. Climbing peaks is really popular lifestyle nowadays for active people. Anyways congratulation with reaching BOTD with your truly inspiring story!

With regards to the book "The Attitude Journals: A Seven Year Journey From the Lowest Point..." The descriptions of the impacts of cold weather in the activities when at the base camp and on the mountain path were eye-opening. There are lessons that can be adopted by anyone finding himself/herself in similar circumstances, for example the keeping of next's days clothing in the sleeping bag overnight.

I have always had an attraction to Mountaineering and have been completely enamored by the idea of completing the seven sumit's. The humble origins of this book met at least allow me to live vicariously through him.

I’m not sure if the rating was inappropriate or not. In one sentence the reviewer said the book could use some adjustments, but in the next they talk about how much they love the book.
